The objective of the environmental programs manager role is to develop, coordinate and administer environmental programs and projects while liaising with management and relevant stakeholders to achieve program objectives and business growth.

Job Objective
The objective of the environmental programs manager role is to develop, coordinate and administer environmental programs and projects while liaising with management and relevant stakeholders to achieve program objectives and business growth.
Job Scope
- Developing environmental programs and plans
- Serving as program administrator for assigned
environmental projects and programs
- Consulting with internal and external
specialists to develop, present and defend project proposals and budgets
- Liaising with project sponsors, clients and
consultants to ensure successful take-off and completion of all assigned
environmental projects and programs
- Preparing work plans, performing site
investigations, and collecting, processing and evaluating data throughout
the lifecycles of the programs
- Regularly preparing periodic reports regarding
program status and timely bringing recommendations, risks and
opportunities to the attention of management for action
- Identify business opportunities and assisting
the business development team to develop and implement these opportunities
for business growth
- Attend approved meetings, workshops and forums
on behalf of the company and make relevant presentations where required.
Required
Skills or Experience
- Must have the ability to meet all the
expectations in the representative scope of work above
- Must possess at least a first degree (or
equivalent) from a recognized institution in environment science or
engineering, natural resource management, physical or applied sciences,
engineering, development studies, or similar qualification
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of working
experience in similar or related role. Outstanding candidates with
impressive track record but less years of experience may be considered
development into the role
- Must have knowledge of the principles and
practices of environmental program development, implementation and
administration
- Must have excellent communication skills and
ability to work with varied and complex stakeholder groups and
individuals.
- Must be goal oriented and possess the ability
to meet tight deadlines
- Must possess excellent computer, report
writing, and presentation skills
