Position: Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Development

Job Description

• In this position you will research, develop and implement long-term strategies to ensure continuous growth and maximum exploitation of available opportunities.
• You will also identify social, industrial and technological changes to projects as well as opportunities for future financial return. You will spearhead business development.

Required Skills or Experience

• Your business strategy experience must be gained working with a reputable organization and complemented with degree in economics, finance, business or equivalent and professional accounting qualification (CMA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, etc) or an MBA. ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc) experience is required.

Please note that oil and gas experience is a MUST

Job Description

The IUCN Programme for Central and West Africa, PACO, seeks to recruit its Regional Head of Finance (RHF).

The Regional Head of Finance reports directly to the Regional Director and functionally to the Head, Global Finance in the IUCN Headquarters in Switzerland. He/she will serve as a senior member of the Regional co-ordination committee that supports organisation development of IUCN in Central and West Africa.

• The Regional Head of Finance (RHF) is responsible for the facilitation, formulation, and implementation of Financial Policies, procedures, and accounting systems, to support implementation of IUCN's programme in Central and West Africa.
• He/She is also responsible for providing advisory services and financial projections for multi-year budget programming and ensuring effective and efficient budget management and compliance with financial regulations and procedures

Expected start date: 01 September 2012
Type of Contract: One year (renewable)
Location: Regional Office for West and Central Africa, Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso

Required Skills or Experience

• The candidates for the positions will possess Accounting and Financial Management degree and at least 10 years' equivalent experience in the functions to be exercised
