Job Description
Reports to: Operations Director
Location: Head Office, Accra

Purpose of position:
To provide strategic and operational leadership, including planning, monitoring, and capacity building in sponsorship programming to ensure effective and efficient sponsorship management to promote Child wellbeing Outcomes.

Purpose of position:
To provide strategic and operational leadership, including planning, monitoring, and capacity building in sponsorship programming to ensure effective and efficient sponsorship management to promote Child wellbeing Outcomes.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership at National
Office and all sponsorship projects and activities through; Capacity
building and sponsorship programming, standardized sponsorship management,
through which sponsors and communities are transformed Programming that
ensure children participate, benefit, and are protected. Reporting on all
issues affecting child wellbeing
- Prepare an Annual Sponsorship Operating Plan
that provides information on RC growth management and corresponding
budget, Resource gaps to meet the plan and how they will be mitigated
- Provide sponsorship regular updates and
status information for planning, budgeting and performance management so
that senior leadership is able to make informed decisions
about attainment and maintenance of sponsorship standards and child
wellbeing issues
- Build capacity by; Planning and conducting
training, refresher training and performance review for the No
sponsorship Office, ADPs and Community Volunteers
- Sharing information and tools for continual
improvement in management of all sponsorship business processes,
programs and activities in relation to completeness, accuracy and
timeliness
- Carry out reviews and implement
recommendations from technical staff from regional office, Global Centre,
etc for reduced risks in sponsorship operations
- Come up with programming solutions
that address Child wellbeing issues observed through STEP reports
and other analyses
- Lead roll-out of new sponsorship initiatives
from the partnership pilot, learn, and provide feedback
- Lead integration of Sponsorships with other
program activities and ensure that operational area communities
are aware of and understand child sponsorship and management
standards
- Participate in DME processes for ADPs
ensuring children are included, participating, protected and
benefiting in all cycles
Required Skills or Experience
Person Specification:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
relating to any of statistics, planning, computing, human rights or
development
- A Masters degree in Social Sciences is
preferred
- 3 years experience serving in a supervisory
position with a child focused organization
- At least four years experience in sponsorship
Operations field
- Must have good knowledge about information
databases
- Must be conversant with child protection
standards
- Strong passion for children and their
wellbeing
