VACANCY IN AGRICULTURE

Position: Deputy Chief of Party

Job Description:

A Washington, DC-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to stimulating sustainable growth in the agricultural sector of developing and emerging economics seeks to recruit qualified candidates for its impending project.
Responsibilities:

• The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) assisting the Chief of Party in overseeing project implementation
• Providing agribusiness and commercial farmers with advisory services
• Working with the Agriculture Investment Fund to facilitate private investments important to modernizing rice, maize, and soya value chains

Required Skills or Experience

• The potential candidates should have experience and knowledge of Ghana
• He/She should be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of Ghana's Financial Sector
• He/she must have the ability to manage staff of a multi-faceted program
• The DCOP should possess a strong background in agricultural finance. Working experience in both the private sector and with donors, and knowledge of the three priority value crops: rice, maize, and soya
